24 February 2010 - 05/10

The deadline for receipt of RLE1 forms by the Rural Payments Agency is midnight on the 4 April 2010. Because this year the deadline falls on Easter Sunday, anyone wanting their entitlement transfers to be effective for the Single Payment Scheme (SPS) 2010 scheme year is urged to return the RLE1 form well in advance of the deadline.

Alternatively forms can be dropped in to any of RPA’s Drop-In Centre post boxes up to midnight on 4 April 2010. A list of Drop-In Centres and opening times can be found on the RPA website at www.rpa.gov.uk/sps/offices

Applicants farming as part of a company or partnership will need to make sure that the person signing the RLE1 form is correctly empowered to do so even if they have signed forms on behalf of the business previously.

If an applicant is unsure of whether he/she is empowered to sign the RLE1 form they are advised to contact RPA on 0845 603 7777. We’re open from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Callers will be asked for their Single Business Identifier (SBI) when they call.

RLE1 forms can be obtained by calling the number above, but you should allow at least seven days for the form to be received by you.

Further information on entitlement transfers can be found on the RPA website or in the Single Payment Scheme RLE1 Guidance booklet.

RLE1 forms received by post after the 4 April deadline will be effective for the SPS 2011 scheme year.
