This section is divided into a licensing team and a team dealing with claims for export refund.

The licensing team handles applications for import/export licences and advance fixing certificates for the above products. They also administer various quota-based schemes with preferential arrangements for imports, as well as dealing with applications for the open market tender on a weekly basis.

The export refund team process claims for bulk grain, flour, malt for the brewing industry, rice, olive oil and other assimilated products which, when exported outside the Community, may attract an export refund.
