There are currently no intervention butter stocks available for sale in the UK.
Butter may be offered into intervention between 1 March and 31 August each year. However intervention purchasing will only be allowed within the season if market conditions so dictate.
An average UK market price is reported to the Commission each week. Details of the reported UK market price are freely available from the Dairy Intervention section should you require them. See 'Contacts' link opposite.

Intervention prices for both butter and skimmed milk powder are published in Council Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007. You can view this information through the Commission's website.
New BUT4 Offer and BUT4A application forms for Butter Intervention are now available on the Forms page.
Please note: We now require a valid VAT certificate upon application.
