Applications for funding are submitted to the Commission twice a year by RPA. Applications should be for programmes on at least a national scale. During the selection process preference is given to applications which involve more than one Member State and that are run by a European level organisation or an organisation spanning more than one Member State.
Programmes must have a minimum duration of one year and a maximum of three years. However programmes for the Marking of Eggs for Human Consumption, and Information and Promotion campaigns for Poultrymeat should be for one or two years.
The Community's financial contribution may be up to 50% of the cost of the programme. However there are exceptions in the case of the promotion of fruit and vegetables specifially for children in schools of the EU, and for measures carried out in the Community relating to information on responsible drinking patterns and the damaging effects of hazardous alcohol consumption, where the Commission contribution will be up to 60%.
A performance security will be required.
The deadlines for receipt of applications at RPA are 15 April and 30 September each year.
