12/11/08 - Private Storage Aid - Notice to Traders No: 67/08
1. This notice is to inform you of the publication of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 826/2008, on 21 August 2008.
2. This regulation provides harmonisation across Private Storage Aid schemes.
3. Private Storage Aid may be granted for the following products:
- Butter (Unsalted or Salted)
- Cheese (Grana Padano, Parmigiano Reggiano, Provolone, Long keeping cheeses, Pecorino Romano, Kefalotyri & Kasseri
- White Sugar
- Olive Oil
- Beef
- Pigmeat
- Sheepmeat or Goatmeat
4. The Commission will decide, based on the market situation, whether or not it is appropriate to open a Private Storage Aid scheme. Schemes can be opened using either fixed aid in advance or a tendering procedure.
5. Once a decision has been made by the Commission a regulation will be published announcing the opening of the scheme. This will also detail rates of aid and application procedures.
