14/05/10 ~ Single Payment Scheme (SPS) 2010 reminder of deadline


We must receive completed SPS 2010 applications no later than midnight on Monday 17 May 2010. If we receive applications after this date but before midnight on 11 June 2010 we will accept them, but will apply late application penalties.
We will reject applications received after 11 June 2010.
You can make certain amendments to your application without incurring penalties, but we must receive them in writing, by midnight on 1 June 2010.


Drop-in centres
The drop-in centres will be open this weekend on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
They will not be open the weekend before the 11 June deadline.
More than five applications per person can be accepted through drop-in centres by appointment only, phone numbers for drop-in centres are shown on the drop-in centre webpage: www.rpa.gov.uk/sps/offices


Customer Service Centre (CSC)
On Saturday 15 May, two days before the deadline, the CSC will be available to answer last minute queries on SPS applications, including the online service, between 9am and 1pm.


Last minute PIN numbers for SPS online applications
If you are the legally empowered representative for your business or a sole trader and you have previously registered an email address for your Single Business Identifier (SBI) with RPA, please:

1. Send an email to csc@rpa.gsi.gov.uk
2. Write “PIN REQUEST” in the subject line of your email
3. Write your full name and SBI within the body of the email.

We will check this email address between 9am and 3pm over the weekend and we will try our best to re-issue your PIN by email before 3pm on Sunday. If you have not received your PIN by this time, please complete your SPS 2010 application using the paper form and ensure it reaches one of our offices by midnight, Monday 17 May.

Please note that we can only re-issue a PIN by email if your email address has been previously registered with our Customer Service Centre (CSC) and we have a record of sending you a PIN.


Amendments to SPS applications
If you need to amend your SPS application after you have sent it to us, you can notify us, in writing, of any amendments to land parcels or add new land parcels up to midnight on 1 June without penalty. If we receive your amendments after 1 June 2010 and before midnight on 11 June, late amendment penalties will apply.
If we have already told you about a mistake in your application, or if you have been told about an inspection that later reveals mistakes, then you cannot amend details for the parcels of land concerned.
