1. Notice to Traders 72/06 outlined procedures to import rice at reduced rates or with exemption of import duty.
2. This notice is to advise you of the quantities available in September for semi or wholly milled and broken rice.
3. Details of the quantities available are outlined in the attached annex.
4. Quantities not sold in the September sub-period will be carried over to October.
5. Licences will be valid from the date of issue until the end of the third month thereafter, though not beyond 31 December 2008.
6. You will find details of the arrangements in Commission Regulations (EC) Nos. 327/1998 and 726/2008 published in Official Journals L37/1998 and L198/2008. Copies may be obtained from Stationery Office bookshops and accredited agents, or ordered from the Stationery Office website
(www.tso.co.uk). You can also access recent Official Journals electronically by visiting the Commission's Europa website (
