30/09/08 - Rice - Concessionary Imports - NTT 63/08
1. Notice to Traders 72/06 outlined procedures to import rice with reduction or exemption of import duty.
2. This notice is to advise you of the quantities available in October for semi or wholly milled rice.
3. The quantities available under this quota can be found in the attached Annex.
4. If you are applying under Order Number 09.4138, your application must
- be accompanied by a security of €46/tonne; and
- state in box 20:
'Exemption from customs duty up to the quantity indicated in boxes 17 and 18 of this licence (Regulation (EC) No 327/98, Article 1(1)(a))'; and 'Order Number 09.4138'.
5. Applications for imports from Thailand, Australia and the United States of America must be accompanied by an original copy of an Export Certificate. You can find examples at Annex I and II of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 327/98.
6. You will find details of these arrangements in Commission Regulations (EC) Nos. 327/1998 and 726/2008 published in Official Journals L37 and L258 respectively. Copies may be obtained from Stationery Office bookshops and accredited agents, or ordered from the Stationery Office website
