The Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) Regulations 2011 require listed bodies to publish equality information to demonstrate due regard to the need to:
- Eliminate unlawful discrimination and harassment
- Advance equality of opportunity
- Foster good relations
We will publish a range of equality information to demonstrate how we are meeting the Public Sector Equality Duty. We will also publish equality objectives from April 2012. The equality objectives will be set as part of our business planning process and reported on in our annual review.
We will carry out equality analysis as part of business planning to generate insight and understand the effects of decisions on different groups. This will help us consider if there are any unintended consequences for some groups and if the policy or service will be fully effective for all target groups.
