Regulations

The requirements for eartags are set out in the Cattle Identification Regulations (Regulation 4 of the English and Welsh Cattle Identification Regulations, and Regulation 5 of the Scottish Cattle Identification Regulations).

The penalties for failing to comply are set out in Regulation 15 of the English and Welsh Cattle Identification Regulations and Regulation 16 of the Scottish Cattle Identification Regulations, and can also be found in the section on Law.
