Directions to Workington office
  • From the M6 Northbound
  • Leave the M6 at junction 40 Penrith
  • Take the A66 west for 38 miles passing Keswick and Cockermouth
  • Continue to the next roundabout turn left for Workington
  • When you arrive in Workington, take a left at the first set of traffic lights onto Washington Street
  • Turn right at the next set of traffic lights continue straight ahead into town until you come to a mini - roundabout. Go right at the roundabout
  • Continue straight through the town until you come to the Railway Station
  • At the railway station keep left over the bridge and follow the road for about 400 yards
  • BCMS is on your left

  • From the M6 Southbound
  • Leave the M6 at junction 44
  • Follow the signs towards Carlisle City Centre
  • From Carlisle, follow the road signs for A595 West to Cockermouth and Workington
  • When you arrive in Workington, take a left at the first set of traffic lights onto Washington Street
  • Turn right at the next set of traffic lights continue straight ahead into town until you come to a mini - roundabout. Go right at the roundabout
  • Continue straight through the town until you come to the Railway Station
  • At the railway station keep left over the bridge and follow the road for about 400 yards
  • BCMS is on your left

From Newcastle
  • Follow the A69 westbound towards Carlisle
  • Continue to the junction with the M6, but remain on the A69 (Warwick Road) into the City Centre
  • Follow directions from Carlisle as above

By Train

  • Workington railway station is about 400 yards from BCMS and receives services from Carlisle and Barrow
  • Workington is a small station and taxis are not always available, if you have any problems contact Corporate Services Section at BCMS on 01900 702222
