23/05/12 ~ SPS 2012 – RPA announces latest figures
Single Payment Scheme applications will be available from Tuesday 28 February 2012 on SPS Online. SPS 2012 application packs will be sent out from the end of February.
Key changes for 2012 include:
- Guidance on ‘Land at your Disposal’.
- Cross Compliance – additional standard from 2012.
- Guidance on penalties – ‘Intentional over declaration’.
- Changes to aid schemes and the changed land use codes for 2012.
- Order in which we activate entitlements.
- The rules on scrub land.
- Improvements to SPS Online for submitting SPS 2012 applications.

The deadline for RPA to receive the SPS 2012 applications (without penalty) is midnight 15 May 2012.
Farmers who submitted applications online in 2011 will be sent an SPS 2012 application pack without a paper application form
